How do we treat the venue?
We have created an effective two-step process for mitigating the threat of Coronavirus 🧫.
Step 1: Fogging with hospital-grade CDC approved disinfectant throughout the ENTIRE venue.
Step 2: A thorough wipe down of high-trafficked areas of the venue (door knobs, light switches, etc.) with our disinfectant.
The process takes about 30-45 minutes to complete after each booking.
How do we treat our linen?
We use the hottest temperature settings for the best disinfecting results.
Step 1: To disinfect and sanitize we use color-safe bleach and a good detergent in a high efficiency washer. We allow the bleach to contact the load for 10 minutes before agitating.
Step 2: When handling dirty linen we wear gloves and a mask. We have to shake linen outside to make sure nothing was left rolled inside. We also wash the laundry bags as well.
Step 3: We then use the highest heat setting to dry away any remaining germs.
Our staff takes your health and safety very serious at S.I.T. We pledge to do our part to continue hosting safe events.
The Preservation Fee is refunded within seven business days if there are no issues. We absolutely want guest to have a good time. However, we also need the venue to be returned in the same manner it was received in order to have it ready for the next guest. When clients rent a location for an event, they are accepting full responsibility for returning everything they and their guest rent and use in the venue. It should be left in the same condition that it was in before the clients event occurred taking us no more than an hour to clean and sanitize. This fee is very similar to accidental fees which occur when renting a car or a hotel room. They keep up to $200 on file in case of accidents. Venues do the same to protect our investment. Our fee is also $200.
Providing the actual space during the most intimate time in someone’s life is beyond gratifying.
But please, don’t forget about us. Don’t forget that every holiday we spend with your family is a holiday missed with ours. Every memory we make with you at our venue is a memory lost at home.
We are in a very unique industry where we don’t get time and a half on holidays. We don’t get over-time. We get whatever we’ve created from a small business.
We will now require a $150 holiday fee effective 1/20/2022 for federal holidays and some Hallmark holidays (ex. Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick's Day).
Compare it to the airline and hospitality industry. The fare is always higher around a holiday. Venues do the same. We also have to pay the staff more to work on holidays.
Thanks for your understanding, paying the holiday fee, having us as your venue, and mostly importantly understanding that we are human too.
Please remember your remaining balance and contract are due three weeks (21 days) before your event. Be sure to add this date to your calendar to avoid a 10% late fee or event cancellation!
